Jesse H. Peter J. Birnbaum was appointed to the board of governors of the American Land Title Association. Birnbaum, president and CEO of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund Inc., will serve on the board for the 2011-2012 year.

Freddrenna M. Lyle was appointed to a Cook County judgeship. She fills the vacancy in the 2nd Subcircuit created by the retirement of Circuit Judge Michael W. Stuttley.
