It became a happy day for graduates (from left to right) Andrea Overal, Delvecchio Parks, Bill Pappas and James O’Shea when they received their law degrees from The John Marshall Law School on June 3.
Students at The John Marshall Law School opened a new Student Commons in April. The law school added 3,180 square feet of space. The work on the space that had been a Walgreen’s also gave the law school an entrance onto State Street. The original student lounge on the second floor has been refurbished.
The Moot Court Executive Board at The John Marshall Law School congratulated team members Margaret Mares (center) and Siobhan Brannigan (right) on their first place win at the Albert R. Mugel National Tax Moot Court Competition. Professor Arthur Acevedo (left) coached the team. Brannigan and Mares won first place in the competition in Buffalo, N.Y., on March 3. In addition, Mares was named Best Oralist at the competition. The students argued a question of whether a medical procedure for a transgender person should be accepted under tax policy.
